Vertical Applications 

Kwikrez AcryliKote can be used on both new and old drywall. Please see TDS and Installation Instructions for additional information. Information subject to change.

1. Protect any surfaces you do not want the coating on.
2. For new drywall, finish any taping and patching to a level 4 finish. For existing drywall or painted walls, perform any patching work you wish to do.
3. Open the Kwikrez AcryliKote and open the can of Kwikrez Metallic Powder.
4. Using a paint mixing paddle, spin the Kwikrez AcryliKote at a low speed to avoid air entrainment for 30 seconds.
5. Slowly start adding the Kwikrez Metallic Powder while continuing to mix.
6. Once all the powder is added, mix for an additional 2 minutes to achieve an even mix.
7. Pour out into a paint tray and roll out coating:
              As a primer: Apply 2 coats at 225 to 250 square feet per gallon.
              On painted surfaces: Apply 2 coats at 300 to 325 square feet per gallon.
8. Wait 1 hour, or until dry, between coats.
9. After 2nd coat is dry, apply the paint of your choice over top the Kwikrez AcryliKote. 2 coats are recommended for lighter paints to cover the black primer.
10. After the finish paint is dry, you can install your magnetic wall surface.

Horizontal Flooring Applications

Concrete:
– Concrete must be clean and sound, free of adhesives
– RH should be 85% or below tested with ASTM 2170
– pH must be 10 or below
Wood:
– Wood should be primed

1. Protect any surfaces you do not want the coating on.
2. Skim coat any imperfections and / or self level.
3. Open the Kwikrez AcryliKote and open the can of Kwikrez Metallic Powder.
4. Using a paint mixing paddle, spin the Kwikrez AcryliKote at a low speed to avoid air entrainment for 30 seconds.
5. Slowly start adding the Kwikrez Metallic Powder while continuing to mix.
6. Once all the powder is added, mix for an additional 2 minutes to achieve an even mix.
7. Pour out into a paint tray and roll out coating:
              All Surfaces: 1 coat at 200 square feet per gallon
              Highly absorbatant substrates may require an additional coat
8. Wait 1 hour, or until dry, between coats.
9. After coating is dry, install your choice of magnetic flooring.
